Christmas 2010

This year we had Christmas at Dave's sisters house in Brisbane. The weather was terrible but the food and company was great!

All the cousins (minus Ely) Isn't this what Christmas is all about?

Owen's 1st birthday

We had a little get together for Owen's first birthday. I was a lovely day and I almost forgot I was very sick!!
We survived a whole year!! I would never have believed I'd reach Owen's first year still pretty much sane. I love my son incredibly he is my life but there were many, many tears from me. It was the hardest most challenging time of my life but also the most rewarding. Absolutely nothing can prepare you for motherhood except for a real life new born!!
So Owen you are 12 months old! Happy birthday! By the day of your birth, the 23rd of Dec 2010 you were able to crawl  (thought that one was never going to happen), walk fairly well, say a few words, sleep very well at night (days were still a pain), feed yourself well with finger food, laugh, clap you know all those very clever things. You love trucks and books and anything you are not allowed to have! You do love your food at the moment, lets hope that lasts! You seem to be a very happy baby, with at times a fiercely independent streak! We love you so much Owen!
Here is the birthday boy with his tractor cake!

Ok I know I have been slack at blogging but....

I am 9 weeks pregnant and OMG I am sick. Looking at a computer screen makes me sick, the colour of my blog makes me sick....everything makes me sick!!!
We are very excited about being parents again...but god the 1st trimester is a bitch to get through! Constant mood swings (ok that's normal), nausea, extreme fatigue, nausea, sore breasts, nausea, hot flushes and a bit of vomiting. But at least I know it will end. I have two sister in laws that never really experienced morning ALL DAY sickness and i am so jealous of all those women that don't really have to put up with it!! Just to top it off I am one of those people who pack on the weight when I instantly fall pregnant, with Owen I piled on 20 kgs!!! and I am on track to match that with a lovely 3kgs already. Can't wait for the 2nd trimester when I actually look pregnant and I start to feel normal again!
But it is all worth it!!!
Minutes old!
